And thanks to Ken Young for the fabulous ‘Wizard and Cauldron’ cartoon – mebbe a wee bit familiar to anyone with a copy of the great Todd Rundgren’s ‘Runt’ LP . . .
The Waterloo Bar in Waterloo Place was good to us – it even had a lift to the upper level – although we still had to lug the gear up 3 flights of stairs when we got back to our Royal Terrace flat. Ian Brown always kept an eye on the clock over the Royal British Hotel, as he had to quit the gig early, pack his gear and run down to Waverly Station for his last train to Cowdenbeath.
